Rockaway Little League is hosting a local MLB PHR competition on friday May 11th from 5-8 with a rain date on sat may 12th, from 5-8. It is free and open to players ages 7-14 as of 7/17/12. Come to the field and sign up on the day of the event.

NY Travel Baseball is not immune to the fact that these are challenging economic times for all. We try as best that we can to keep our league as cost friendly as possible, even though our own expenses continue to rise. If you ever compare the cost of our league and umpires vs. those in Long Island or NJ you will agree that we are doing a fine job.
To assist us in this battle we launched a pilot program partnering with small local businesses to bring sponsorships to our league. Many businesses recognize the value NY Travel Baseball can bring to their business since we interact with so many kids and their families throughout the year.
Each of our tournaments this year will be sponsored by a different business and you will see them advertise on our website and at the field. Many will offer special discounts to you and we ask that you support them as best you can so this can be a win-win situation for all.
Also, if you know of a business that might be interested in allocating some of their advertising budget to us, have them contact us and we will get all the information out to them on how the NY Travel Baseball brand can help them.

SPRING SEASON DEADLINES

We had a great turn-out for our two meetings and now it’s time for us to remind everybody that the deadline for entering the Spring Season is Sunday March 25. We will be at Fort Tilden on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25, for our Pre Season tournament so you can meet us there. If you need to make different arrangements, please give us a call 347-247-8669.

And - if you still want to get into the Pre Season tournament – you have until this Sunday -March 18.

SPRING SEASON

MEETING THIS COMING SUNDAY OR THE FOLLOWING THURSDAY. WE ONLY HAVE ONE MEETING SO TRY TO MAKE IT!

Teams can join the NY Travel Baseball Spring League and play in a division that plays Saturdays only for $225. Or they can play Sundays only for $225. Or they can play both Saturdays and Sundays for $300.

The Spring Season meeting will be held at Fort Tilden, 7pm Sunday March 11. Can’t make it? We will hold the same meeting once again at Fort Tilden, 7pm on Thursday March 15.

It’s still too early to be certain, but we are expecting six to eight 8-year old teams this Spring. It’s interesting how often organizations with 8 year-old teams feel that their teams are NOT ready for competition in the Spring. But aren’t they all in the same boat? We provide the perfect environment for this age group. We have nice enclosed fields, we play with little wood bats and we foster a releaxed atmosphere. Come to the meeting, and ask more questions.

There will be a separate meeting for our 15/16 and our new 17/18 divisions at a later date close to the start of their season in early June.
